The United Nations were founded in 1945 after the Second World War by 51 countries with the aim to work side by side for international peace and security through friendly relations among nations, to further better living standards and human rights. Its work is reaching all nations around the world. Some of the work done by the United Nations is that of peacekeeping in war torn countries, providing humanitarian aids and security for its people.
