Morocco’s
flag symbolises several values that are held of high importance in the country
of Morocco. The red stands for bravery, valour, strength and hardiness, and
also relates to the Alaouite dynasty. The star which has five points symbolises
the five pillars of Islam. While the green colour of the star represents the
colour of Islam as well as the values of joy, peace, hope, love and wisdom.
This flag was first introduced in 1915 and was declared the national flag in
1955, after Morocco gained independence from the Spanish and French.
