RUSSIA INTERNATIONAL FLAG

The Russian National Flag consist of three fields being red, blue and white. It was used for the first time on merchant and war ships before it was officially adopted in 1896 and still in use during the takeover by the Russian Provisional Government till the October Revolution which saw in 1917 the Bolshevik Government in its place using the red flag with symbols of the communist regime.

The Current tricolour flag was again adopted in 1991 after the Soviet Union collapsed and a new Russian Federation was born. It underwent a few changes since 1993 and is now in its current form the official national flag of Russia since the year 2000.
